The other side

Sitting in a car outside a five star hotel in Mayfair, checking your reflection in the visor mirror for the fourth time, is a strange way to make a living. Frustration builds because the media gets the whole thing backward. They think high-end male escorting for women is about smooth pick-up lines and velvet smoking jackets. It is not. It is about emotional endurance, sharp listening, and knowing how to blend into a world where power and loneliness usually sit at the exact same table.

When you walk through that revolving door into a private dining room or a suite, the energy in the room shifts immediately. Most of my clients are women who run companies, manage massive investment portfolios, or live under the relentless microscope of public life. They do not want an amateur performance or a guy reciting lines from a movie. They want an equal. They want someone who can debate politics, listen to the brutal exhaustion of a hostile boardroom takeover, and offer a perspective that does not have an underlying ego attached to it.

The dynamic is entirely built on a mutual understanding of boundaries and value. These women are paying for absolute discretion and guaranteed peace. When you spend all day managing hundreds of employees, dealing with demanding board members, or playing the corporate game, the last thing you want to deal with is the fragile ego of a regular date. They want an evening where the focus is entirely on them, free from judgment, expectation, or the messy fallout of conventional modern romance.

Behind the polished veneer of the hotels and the bespoke suits, the work requires a strange kind of mental compartmentalization. You step into their world, match their pace, and carry the weight of their stress for a few hours. Then you walk back out into the London night, get on the tube or back in your car, and drop the mask entirely. It is transactional, yes, but at its best, it is also deeply human. It is a quiet acknowledgment that even at the very top, everyone just wants someone real to talk to without having to explain themselves first.
